Grounded in the ACS — drills you on the standard
When teaching an ILS, what tolerances should a student hold on the final approach segment?
On an ILS, the instrument ACS expects the localizer and glideslope kept within 3/4-scale deflection, airspeed within ±10 KT. Frame it as a scan-and-correct loop for the student — verify against your CFI.
Checkride Academy's AI tutor is a study aid, not an FAA-authorized source. Always verify against the current ACS, FAR/AIM, and your CFI.
